How do I to take a new S Tel Connection?
|
|
|
We are happy that you want a new connection of S Tel. We will surely help you with that.
- Visit our nearest S Tel Retailer for a S Tel Connection.
- Chose the SUK of your choice.
- In the SUK, you will get:
- Customer Application Form (CAF)
- The SIM
- The User Manual
- Please provide the POI, POA & 1 Passport size photograph which are mandatory to
take a mobile connection.
- Please do fill up the Customer Application Form thoroughly, as any incomplete information
may lead to the barring of the connection.
- After submitting the forms your Connection will get activated, & you will be in
touch with your near & dear ones with S Tel Network.

What are the Documents I need to submit to take a new connection & what are the Valid Documents for POI & POA?

The following are the documents that you can provide to take new connection:

PROOF OF IDENTITY (POI)
- Income TAX PAN Card
- Photo Credit Card
- Current Passbook of post office/PSU bank, with subscriber's photo Current Passbook

- Smart card issued by CSD, Defense /Paramilitary

PROOF OF ADDRESS & PROOF OF IDENTITY (POI & POA)
- Valid Driving License
- Valid Arm License

- Any other document containing photograph includes:
- Ration Card with photograph and address applicable for person whose photo is affixed.
- Certificate of address having photograph, issued by MP/ MLA/ Class-A Gazetted Officer
in letter head.
- Certificate of address having photograph from Government recognized educational
institutions (For Students only).
- Certificate of address having photo, issued by village panchayat head (for rural
areas).

What is the procedure of locking the SIM & what is the default PIN?

Sir/ma’am, you can lock your SIM from unauthorized use by using the PIN (Personal Identification Number) security feature in S Tel SIM.
Please remember, if you register 3 attempts of Wrong PIN, your SIM would be blocked, & it would prompt you to provide the PUK.

How do I recharge my prepaid Account and what are the modes of Recharge available in S Tel?

What is a Caller Tune?
|

Introduction:
- With S Tel Caller tunes, you can play your favorite song for all your callers instead
of the normal tring tring.
- Choose from Genres: Hindi, Oriya, Devotional, International, Instrumental, Fun Tones,
Regional, and more…

Procedure:
STK:
Go to S Tel Services -> Caller Tunes -> Select Genre -> Select song on IVR
VOICE:
Copy a Caller tune – Press *
If you like a friend’s S Tel Caller tune, simply call him on his mobile phone and press * while the Caller tune is playing (i.e. before the call is picked up).
VOICE:
Call at 12211 and Select Genre on IVR.

Do you have missed call service and how do I activate MCA? What is the cost?
|
|
|
|
Introduction:
- It is a FREE service that sends SMS alerts to notify a customer of missed calls
during the times his mobile phone is not turned on or is out of S Tel network coverage.
- All S Tel Mobile customers will enjoy this service.
- You will receive an SMS alert if someone tries to call you unsuccessfully when your
mobile phone is not turned on, or your mobile phone is out of S Tel network coverage.

Subscription/Unsubsription:
There is no need to register for this service as it is given automatically to any S Tel Mobile Prepaid customer.
It is a FREE service so there is neither a registration nor subscription fee. You are also not charged for receiving SMS alerts.

For de-activation you have following options:
- IVR – call 1213 and select Start and Stop services
- Call Centre - Speak to our Customer care Representative and request all you wish
