V Srinivasan CEO, Siva Group
Mr. V. Srinivasan is the Group CEO and Director on the Board of Siva Group, which is the ultimate holding company of the group. He previously held senior positions in several large corporations in India, including Bharat Earth Movers Limited and Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Co. Ltd., and served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Essar-Swisscom telecommunications joint venture before joining Dishnet Wireless Limited which was earlier a company within our group.
Mr. V Srinivasan holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering (with Honours) from Regional Engineering College, Trichy (a premier educational institution in India), and is also a qualified Cost Accountant. Besides, Mr. V Srinivasan is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (Gold Medalist). Mr. Srinivasan has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton Business School.
P Swaminathan President, Siva Group
Mr. P Swaminathan with over three decades of rich and varied experience joined Siva Group as its Group President. Immediately prior to joining us, he held the post of Chief Operating Officer of Indus Towers Limited (a joint venture of Bharti, Vodafone and Aditya Birla Group). He has held senior positions as CEO and Executive Director in Bharti Airtel in geographies across India and has also been a member of the Bharti Airtel (mobility) management board. During his career he is credited with having put together successful business models in Detergents and Soaps, Telecom fixed lines,
Mobile operations in 900 mhz / 1800 mhz and Towerco operations. He is highly recognized for his strategic thrust, change management prowess and operational efficiency / speed.
Mr. Swaminathan is currently spearheading the Telecom, Tower projects, e-education / Software and Agri export verticals for the Group.
His academic qualifications include a B Tech from IIT, Madras and MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.
Peter Kaliaropoulos CEO, Batelco Group
Joined Batelco in June 2005 and has led its transformation into a regional company operating in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Yemen, Egypt and India. Peter has over 28 years of experience in the international ICT sector. Prior to joining Batelco, he held various senior executive roles including MD SingTel Optus Business (Australia); COO/SVP StarHub (Singapore); CEO Clear (New Zealand); Director Sales & Service, BT Asia Pacific (Singapore & Australia); Director, BT Syncordia Asia Pacific; VP Sales & Marketing, Telstra (USA) and MD Mobile Sales & Distribution, Telstra (Australia).
S. Saravana Director, Siva Group
Mr. Saravana is spearheading the group’s expansion in telecommunication, energy and shipping. His focus areas include high-growth sectors such as renewable energy, commodities and trading. He has actively initiated and supported new start-up ventures within the group.
He is an Honors graduate in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.

Ali Yousuf Abdulrahman Abdulrahim
Mr Ali Yousuf Abdulrahman Abdulrahim did his Masters in Business Administration from UK. He possesses very rich exposure in the field of telecom, transportation and construction engineering. Besides Board-Member of S Tel, he is holding the Board level positions in various foreign enterprises such as Chairman, Y.A. Engineer Holding (YARE), Chairman, National Establishment of Technical and Trade Services (NETTS), Chairman, National Transport Establishment, Vice-Chairman, Arabian Taxi Company (London Cabs), Board-Member, General Trading and Food Processing Co(TRAFCO) and Board-Member, Bahrain Telecommunications Company (BATELCO).
Dr. Ghassan Murad
Dr. Murad has over 12 years of experience in the Telecommunications sector and is currently a senior member of the Mergers & Acquisition team at the BATELCO Group heading inorganic New Business Development and M&A transactional activities throughout the Middle East and Africa region.
Dr. Murad has been involved in managing and structuring Data Communications and Mobile license bids, actively involved in a number of successful acquisitions of buying companies in Internet, Data Communications and Mobile, and held Board positions in several of BATELCO’s subsidiaries in Kuwait, Egypt, and Jordan.
Dr. Murad has previously been employed as a Research Associate by the University of Leicester (UK) in the Engineering Department to work on applied research into advanced control systems. His research projects were associated with large industrial sponsors such as Philips Lighting (Holland), Lucas Aerospace (UK), and the Defence Research Agency (UK).
Dr. Murad has a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, followed by an MSc in Control Systems from Imperial College, London, a PhD in Control Engineering from the University of Leicester, UK, and followed several telecom corporate finance and M&A seminars over the years.
Mr. Shamik Das Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Shamik Das has twenty three years of professional and management experience. He has worked for fifteen years in the telecom industry with Bharti Airtel. He has worked with Asea Brown Boveri(ABB), Pearson PLC, and has held senior positions in Airtel as group CFO and Chief of Supply Chain. Prior to joining S Tel he was the CEO of AIRTEL South India.
